Good Neighbors Tanzania is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in Korea in 1991. It was granted General Consultative Status from the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). The aim is to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. In Tanzania it was officially established in 2005 and our efforts work towards creating an environment where children’s rights are protected and sustainable development of communities through empowerment, leadership and ownership. We are currently working in 10 regions with 16 project sites and more than 7,000 sponsored children. We work closely with partners such as UNHCR, UNCDF and WFP to promote self-reliance and improve livelihoods to refugees as well as assist vulnerable communities with limited access to food and enabling to receive full benefits of development opportunities. Good Neighbors exists to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Good Neighbors respects the human rights of our neighbors suffering from poverty, disasters and oppression, and helps them to achieve self-reliance and enable them to rebuild hope.
